Aged and community care sector attracts big investment
Aged and Community Services Western Australia’s (ACSWA) annual Excellence in Care Awards have grown in significance, with industry providers and suppliers sponsoring each of the six national award categories for the 2010 event.
Overarching sponsor Health Super will be joined by a dedicated band of contributors to the awards in the following six award categories: Employee Award sponsored by Health Super, Volunteer Award sponsored by Braemar Presbyterian Care, Organisation Award sponsored by EPAC Salary Solutions, Trainee Award sponsored by AMA WA, Media Award sponsored by Uniting Church Homes and Industry Supporter Award sponsored by Silver Chain.
The ACSWA Excellence in Care Awards is in its second year, celebrating and recognising the excellence and enormous contribution that the aged and community care sector delivers day in and day out.
There are so many passionate and unselfish people, delivering the highest quality of service, that these awards give only a sample of the generosity and care offered by Western Australian workers.
ACSWA is conducting the 2010 Excellence in Care Awards at a gala presentation on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.
Excellence in Care Award winners will become the State nominees to the Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) National Awards in 2010. WA’s leading aged care provider Amana Living, was voted the best organisation in the national awards in 2009.
National award finalists and winners will be announced at the Annual ACSA Conference, to be held this year in Hobart, Tasmania from September 19-22, 2010.
These awards will celebrate and honour practitioners, providers and industry supporters spanning the three key sectors of the Aged, Community Care and Retirement Living in the not-for-profit sector.
Nomination forms and criteria are available on the ACSWA website at www.acswa.org.au .
